Fri 30th Sept 2011 - 2 day training course in Collaborative Practice in Cork
The ASSOCIATION OF COLLABORATIVE PRACTITIONERS IRELAND presents a two day basic training course in Collaborative Practice in Cork
- Dates: Fri Sept 30th - Sat Oct 1st 2011
- Venue: The Resolution Centre, 13 Sheares St, Cork City
- Cost : €250 for two days
This training is designed for lawyers and accredited psychotherapists, psychologists or counsellors to learn how to work collaboratively in support of families who wish to separate or divorce without resorting to adversarial court proceedings.
Collaborative Practice began in the USA about 20 years ago and is now growing rapidly worldwide. It presents a unique way of working as a team to hold the psychological and resolve the legal issues arising from divorce and separation which will result in a satisfactory resolution for parents, children and other relatives. This is quite different from a fight in court which can leave lasting scars.
The training course presents challenges for both lawyers and mental health professionals. However, to work collaboratively is very rewarding and is a valuable resource for families and society as a whole.
